What is F.R.E.G? & Who are we?
F.R.E.G is a collection of individuals, all of whom live in Farndon Village, of mixed backgrounds, ages & skills.
We have one thing in common, a desire to improve & preserve those things that make Farndon Village special to each of us.
How we came to be together?
We each ticked boxes on a Village appraisal saying that we were interested in helping to protect the environment.
The Parish Council called our bluff and invited us to a meeting to see what we were willing to do. The group was officially formed two weeks later on May 12th 1997.

This is the first time any of us have become involved in this type of organisation.
Some have lived in the Village for many years while others are newcomers (less than 20 years lived in the Village & being unable to trace lineage back three generations apparently qualifies you as the latter).

This is not the first such initiative in the Village, others have tried & failed, there are no guarantees of success. We can not survive alone, we want & need the support of the whole village.
F.R.E.G has already taught us that we can each make a difference to our quality of life in the Village. We will continue to try. We meet every first Monday of the month, at 7.30pm, in the Village Hall.
