Just wanted to say how fantastic it is to see a group standing up and trying to preserve the lovely village of farndon. My family and i lived on Chestnut grove from 75-83 (i was 4-12years old) and i have some great memories of long hot summers (especially 76)
It's so sad that the woods we played in almost every day dissapeared, now it's all just memories.
I live in sweden now but am coming over to visit this summer (08) so i can show my children where i grew up. It's great that somebody is making the effort to esure there's something i can show them.

Hi Jez, very good idea, project. If more people would think like you and your group many towns or parts of towns could look better. Unfortunately people here would not spend their freetime to those projects. Anyway, go ahead. Cheers Stefan
